OudLink operates Aquilaria sinensis plantations across Maoming, Guangdong (HQ + primary cultivation) and Hainan (auxiliary planting). All plantings are CITES-registered, traceable to specific plots, and managed under a long-cycle replanting program so each harvested area returns to production within the next decade. Total cultivation extends across hundreds of hectares of red-earth hill terrain.
Maoming primary plantation
Our Maoming HQ sits on red-earth hill slopes whose lateritic soil and subtropical climate suit Aquilaria sinensis. Original plantings from 2008 have matured into the first commercial harvest cohort; subsequent plantings expand the productive area on a rolling basis. Maoming hosts the distillation facility, sorting halls, sapling nursery, and CITES export office.
Hainan auxiliary planting
Hainan's tropical climate produces a slightly different terroir — Aquilaria sinensis grown there develops a distinct resin profile compared to Maoming stock. We use Hainan plantings as a complementary supply for buyers who specifically request the regional character.
Long-cycle replanting
Aquilaria takes years to reach commercial maturity. Every harvested plot is replanted within the year, and the sapling nursery maintains stock for plantings that will mature in the next 5–15 years. The intent is a continuous-yield operation rather than a series of extractive harvests.
