Our Mission & Vision

Why we plant, distill, and export — and where we’re heading next.

OudLink's mission is to make authentic, fully traceable agarwood available to the world's most discerning fragrance markets without the trader layers that strip provenance. Our vision is a transparent agarwood economy in which buyers know which plantation, which harvest year, and which distillation batch their oud comes from — so that the cultural and commercial value of this rare resin remains tied to the people who grow it.

Our Mission

To bring authentic, sustainable, CITES-compliant agarwood from Chinese plantations to discerning clients across the world — with transparency, craftsmanship, and respect for tradition.

Our Vision

Within the next decade, OudLink will be recognized as the most trusted name in plantation-origin agarwood — a brand that perfumers, collectors, and incense masters reach for first when authenticity matters.

Mission

To cultivate, distill, and export agarwood from a single vertically integrated operation — eliminating intermediaries, preserving full chain-of-custody documentation, and building lasting wholesale relationships with buyers who value origin clarity over the cheapest available lot.

Vision

An agarwood industry where every kilogram is traceable, every CITES permit ties cleanly back to a known harvest, and where Chinese-cultivated Aquilaria sinensis is recognised globally as a legitimate, sustainable source alongside historical regional supplies.

Values that govern the work

Origin honesty. If a chip came from Hainan, the paperwork says Hainan. Permit integrity. Every export under our own CITES authorisation, never re-issued downstream. Long-arc thinking. Aquilaria takes years to mature; we plant for the decade ahead, not the next quarter. Buyer transparency. Reference price ranges published openly; final pricing per inquiry, never negotiated by misrepresentation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does OudLink define "ethical sourcing"?
Plantation-grown Aquilaria under valid CITES permits, with full chain-of-custody from harvest to export. We do not buy from wild-harvested or unverifiable sources.
Is plantation-grown agarwood inferior to wild?
For the highest sinking grades, wild can carry a premium for collectors. For consistent commercial supply — especially oil distillation and reproducible blends — plantation-cultivated Aquilaria sinensis is now preferred industry-wide. We supply both wild-style and standard plantation stock.
How does OudLink contribute to local communities?
Our cultivation and distillation operations are based in Maoming and provide sustained employment in plantation maintenance, harvest, sorting, and distillation. Long-term relationships replace seasonal collector economics.
What's OudLink's position on CITES?
We treat CITES Appendix II as a foundation, not an obstacle. Every export carries a valid permit; we publish the permit reference on the shipping packet so customs verification takes minutes, not days.
Are there sustainability commitments?
We replant on every plot we harvest, run a sapling nursery for the cohort that will mature in the next decade, and have committed to a no-wild-harvest sourcing rule for new programs.
